Happy Thanksgiving!!

We spent Thanksgiving at Gary's Aunt Pris's and Uncle Ken's. Gary said that dinner was at 1pm and wouldn't you know we were running late, as usual. However, when we showed up no one else was there except for his Aunt and Uncle and his 1 cousin, Holly. Dinner was really at 3pm, so for once we were early, really early. It was actually nice to be early once, that way we could spend more time with his family that we hardly ever see. We were able to spend the day with his cousins, Holly and her husband Kyle and their little one, Izzy, along with Megan and her finance Josh, his grandma Amay, and his mom. It was nice day!
After dinner we went to visit my dad and Stepmom were we looked at the ads for Black Friday and ate some pumpkin pie. I couldn't believe it when my dad said he was going to get up at 5am to do a little shopping himself...I don't know what he was thinking. I will have to ask him how he enjoyed standing in lines that are forever long with a bunch of crazy people like himself!! I don't even get up that early for a deal and we all know how much I enjoy a good deal. I just can't see something being that good of a deal to get me up at the butt crack of dawn.
Hope everyone had a nice Turkey Day and if you are one that gets up super early for deals, I hope you got everything you wanted without being trampled. Love you all!!

2nd Ultrasound

On Wednesday the 26th Jamie had another ultrasound. Dana did all the official measurements and every thing looks great. She has doubled in size in just 2 short weeks and weighs 10oz, amazing! We also got the results of the Quad test back and everything came back negative, which was a relief to know she will be a healthy baby girl. She is growing more every day and is still right on track to enter the world on April 25, 2009. Jamie's tummy is starting to poke out a little bit. It's cute. We are all getting more excited with each passing day.

Below are some 2d and 4d pictures from the ultrasound. The 4d pictures this weeks aren't as good as the last ones, but are still amazing to see. Dana said that the hardest time to get good 4d pics are between 18 and 22 weeks.

Definitely a girl!

See my toes!

Happy 34th Birthday

Tuesday the 25th was my birthday. Jamie cooked a nice dinner, then my Mom, brother Jamie and Kaiden came over for cake that Jamie & Kodie made for me. I had a nice birthday but don't feel any older. My mom even brought us all a gift. The baby's first outfit, how cute.

Weekend Hockey Update

This weekend Kodie had two hockey games. Saturday we lost to Saginaw at home 1-3. After the game we went to Klavon's to get pizza and watch the MSU vs Penn State game with my Mom, Brother Jamie, Dana and Kaiden. The football game was a joke but we all had a good time at dinner.

Sunday's game was in Troy against the Michigan Jaguars. We came close, but lost 3-4. Kodie played pretty good. He had an assist on Tyler Guy's goal. Jamie stayed home and had a relaxing evening at home.

Below are some pictures from dinner Saturday night.

Weekend Hockey Update

This weekend Kodie had 2 games. The first was Saturday, at home, vs The Vipers. Although we lost this game 2-5, Kodie scored his first goal of the season. From my vantage point on the glass it was a thing of beauty. He deeked his way across center ice, through 3 defenders, and finally scored on a pretty body fake that caught the goalie going the wrong way. I was quite excited. After the game we ate dinner at the Outback with my Mom, brother Jamie, and nephew Kaiden.

Sunday Kodie had a game in Farmington Hills against the Ice Breakers. At one point we were down 2-5, but rallied despite the dirty play from their opponents to end the game in a 5-5 tie.
Kodie played 2 of the best games on defense he has played all season. I was very proud of him.

The Generals watch the Spartans

Friday night Kodie's hockey team all went to see the MSU hockey team take on Miami of OH. The kids all had fun & it was nice to get together with everyone from the team. However, the spartan hockey team is horrible. It's not fun like it has been for the past 4 years. All of the players who we loved to follow are gone, & the kids who replaced them stink. I feel bad for poor Lergy. (Jeff Lerg, the goalie) Oh well, we still had fun, we just won't be going as often as we have in the past. After the game was over all the kids got to go into the locker room and see the players. That was pretty exciting for them.

Below are a some pictures & a couple videos I took with the camera of some random fat kid who kept dancing every time they played music. It' pretty funny.

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We went to see Dana on Wednesday morning and found out we were having a little girl:) We both didn't care either way, however I have to say I am super excited about having a girl. Gary asked Dana to triple check to make sure she wasn't missing anything. She told him there was no way she was missing something and to get his check book out because she is going to make him go broke. She was moving all over the place and I couldn't believe that I couldn't feel her yet. Dana said that she is still a little too small and that I should be able to feel her soon. I can't wait!! It was amazing to see her move and she looks so much bigger on the screen. At one point she rubbed her eyes and scratched her nose, it was soo cute. She is measuring to be about 5 oz and is right on schedule to arrive around April 25th.

Kodie seemed to be excited about having a little sister, however he has already told us he wants the next one to be a boy.

As far as a name goes, we haven't really picked anything out. Plus, we are going to wait and annouce the name when she is born that way something is still a surprise. Also, I don't think I will be able to decide on a name until I see her. We can't wait!!

Here are some pictures of our little angel!! The 3-d ones are a little freaky, but it is amazing how detailed they are. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

She is crossing her legs and scratching her nose.

She was a little camera shy on this one:)

This one is a little freaky, but isn't it amazing how detailed she is at only 16 1/2 weeks?

Red Wings vs Penguins

Tuesday night Jamie, Kodie, Tyler & I went to see my 2 favorite teams play, the Red Wings (of course) and the Pittsburgh Penguins. We couldn't have asked for a more action packed night of hockey, although a different outcome, yes. The wings blew a 5-2 lead in the third period and lost with 1:11 remaining in overtime 7-6. Our seats were 13 rows up the upper bowl in the corner. We saw the wings shoot in front of us twice.

Kodie's friend from hockey, Billy Bonser & his family were there also. They sat 2 sections to the right of us. Billy is a HUGE Penguins fan. He was pretty brave wearing his Sidney Crosby jersey into Hockeytown. Below are several pictures of us including one of Billy & Kodie wearing their rival jerseys.

We have an Annoucement!!!

So, we have been holding out on blogging about something, but we think it's time to share some news with our friends. We are Pregnant!! Yes, that is correct, I am expecting. I am exactly 16 weeks today. I know we should have blogged about this before now, but honestly we kept on forgetting. The baby is due at the end of April. Dana Everett, one of the mom's on Kodie's hockey team is an ultrasound tech, and is going to do our first one on Wednesday so we can find out if we are having a boy or a girl. We are super excited!! Kodie can't wait to be a big brother and doesn't really have a preference of a boy or girl. He will be the best big brother a sibling could have.

Gary took a picture this morning of my growing belly at 16 weeks. I think it looks a lot bigger in this picture then if you were to see me in person. I can still wear all of my regular clothes and I don't think I look pregnant yet, but Kodie might disagree. Although, this picture sure makes me look pregnant.

Also, Kodie had 2 hockey games this weekend, Saturday in Redford and Sunday at home. We lost to Redford 8-3 and we tied Port Huron at home 3-3.

Coldplay

So for anyone who did not know, my favorite current band is Coldplay. Monday night Jamie & I went to see them in concert at the Palace. We were given tickets as a gift from my Finance rep Codee, who also went with her boyfriend Aaron.

This was the best concert I have been to yet. The entire show was fantastic from start to finish. I was really proud of Jamie. She hung in there all night. Below are a couple of pictures, and a small video of them preforming Yellow, my favorite Coldplay song.

Michigan State vs Wisconsin

On Satuday, Gary and I went to the State game. I actually won the tickets from Q-106 when we were watching the MSU vs Uof M game at Buffalo Wild Wings. Four years ago this game was the first date that Gary and I went on. Who knew we would re-live that date four years later. It was a really good game and we had a great time. State won by one point with 7 seconds left in the game by kicking a field goal. It was a perfect day that had a perfect ending!!

Also, Kodie had a hockey game in Brownstown which they won 2-1.

Happy Halloween!!

This year Halloween was a blast! I decided to dress up for work and believe it or not, I actually won best costume! Kodie was a hotdog and it was hilarious, I loved it. I have to say it is one of my favorite costumes yet. Kaiden was a stunk and was absolutely adorable. Tyler was trying to be a gangster, you decide if he fit the role. Here are some pics of that day. Also, at the bottom is a cute video of Kaiden practicing his animal sounds on the cat.
